The Royal Oak Foundation will celebrate the protected landscapes of the National Trust and their architectural follies found throughout the British countryside. This year focuses on support for the Chinese House at Stowe, a beautiful folly with a long history. What is a folly? An ornamental structure—oftentimes strange, fantastical, or whimsical—built for just one purpose: pleasure.
FOLLIES will be filled with cocktails, British fare, and dancing, featuring music and a special set by DJ Nicholas Ashley-Cooper, the Earl of Shaftesbury.
The Host Committee Co-Chairs are Caleb Anderson, Emily Collins, and Robbie Gordy; the International Chair is Wolf Burchard; and the event committee is Jacqueline Cadeau-Shawe, Ji Young Choi, Tara Theune Davis, Alice Dickinson, Kathryn Calley Galitz, Chelsea Gerard, Annie Hambleton, Ellis Kelleher, Lane Stansbury Lytle, Lisa Macbeth, Lansing Moore, Emily Nielsen, Catherine Casteel Olasky, Addie Peyronnin, Alexandra Porter, Chelcey Remstad, William Rutledge, Maximilian P. Sinsteden, Scott Spasojevich, and Kerry Tucei.
The Royal Oak Foundation thanks its generous sponsors of FOLLIES including: Drake/Anderson, Benjamin Moore, Lee Jofa, 200 Lex New York Design Center, Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, and FOLLIES official media sponsor, Architectural Digest. Additional support generously provided by: Zézé, Wölffer Estate Vineyard Inc., Brooklyn Brewery and Barr Hill.
