• D&D showroom sales 3 to 4 times per week. On the road 1 to 2 times per week in NJ, CT & NY (inclusive of NYC, Long Island and Westchester county)
• Represent the Houlès brand with sophistication & pride, uncovering sales opportunities and promoting business with current clients. Responsible for all aspects of the sale from prospecting through closing and account management
• Manage current clients, servicing active clients and developing new action plans to provide more and higher profitability clients
• Plan and strategize road trips using client lists per territory and/or ranking
• Communicate with management through reports, emails & phone calls when traveling
• Be an expert on Houlès trims, drapery hardware, fabrics & accessories
• SELL! Maintain contact with all clients in territory to close orders
• Business development to bring new accounts to the client base and turn inactive clients back into active clients
• Schedule, plan and participate in local trade shows and fairs in support of sales initiatives

*Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree
*2 to 5 years of experience in a Showroom Sales Representative position
*2 to 5 years of experience in an Outside Sales position managing a geographic territory
• Strong sales background including lead generation and cold calling skills - sales hunting experience required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork
• Strong work ethic, ambition and drive
• Proficient in computer applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Experience in the Decoration business with knowledge of Design, Trimming & Fabrics a plus
• Follow-up, organization, planning and documentation skills
• Potential and willingness to grow with the organization as Houlès expands its operations
• Willingness to learn and to adapt to a new business and an international environment
• Must have a car and the ability to visit 6 to 10 clients a day during road sales calls
