The British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) has announced that it is supporting the graduate exhibition New Designers taking place at the Business Design Centre, London. Over 3,500 talented, newly graduated designers from a range of disciplines and from across the UK will come together under one roof for the 27th edition of New Designers. New Designers helps graduates launch their careers at the Business Design Centre in London.

New Designers features nine district design zones and two awards evenings. BIID will be taking part in the second week of the event, which runs from July 4-7. Guest speaker Simon Hamilton, International Director of the BIID, will explore important points when entering the professional world of interior design to prepare young talents for their next step.
“It is important for BIID to be involved with new designers entering the industry,” says Hayley Manning, Associate and Student Director at BIID. “It can be difficult to break into the industry and we want to help and support students and new designers with that transition when the time comes. BIID offers a support system and provides opportunities to meet designers and companies that can have a positive effect on their career. We are looking forward to engaging with graduates at this year’s New Designers event”.
BIID recognizes the importance of supporting new designers and offers a variety of memberships, including a student membership. Its Continuing Professional Development program ensures that designers stay up-to-date with current legislation and trends to ensure that a high level of service is continued to be provided by designers which raises professionalism in the industry as a whole.
